LOUISA FOSTER

I am predominantly a landscape painter but during lockdown I experimented with small mixed media, collage pieces. These are very varied from shops fronts, commissioned homes, pub, street scenes, city scapes and landscapes.

I am Fine Art trained at Newcastle university and have a PGCE from Homerton collage Cambridge.

I have taught in secondary schools and now teach adults and children in the studio.

My primary inspiration is my love of the landscape and I’m never without a sketchbook to work en plein air. I then create larger paintings back in the studio in oil, acrylic and mixed media.

I totally identify with the quote from Camille Pissarro,

“Blessed are those who see beautiful thing in humble places where others see nothing”
